Guleryuz studied art at the Fine Arts Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, The Netherlands, Post Graduate Program, Rotterdam at the Willem de Kooning Academie, The Netherlands, and Degree of Master of Arts at the Plymouth University, England.

Her work has been presented in museums, galleries, art exhibitions and film festivals throughout the world, including:

INSA Art Space, Seoul, Korea (2008); The Local at Glasgow International, Glasgow, Scotland (2008); Berkeley Art Museum, San Francisco, USA (2007); Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art, Cairo, Egypt (2007); Centre Pompidou, Paris, France (2006); Freud Museum, London, England (2006); 9" International Istanbul Biennial[1], Istanbul, Turkey (2005); Cultural Centre, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2005); Transmediale .05, Berlin, Germany (2005); Els Hanappe Underground, Athens, Greece (2005).

Hatice Guleryuz, a vegalitarian, currently collaborates with The Vegalitarian Society in Beverly Hills on various projects, including short films portraying leaders such as Marianne Thieme of the Party for the Animals. Guleryuz declares: "Unless mankind transcends speciesism, and in so doing, takes the final step toward a truly civilized society, it will continue to damage itself and it will never overcome its self-made misery."[2]
